Reminder #2

We have finally reached the day where you’ve started chemotherapy. I guess these are the impending moments that will allow all of this to sink in and become reality. I’ve seen in you exuberance and smiles that induce some calm understanding that it will all be OK. It’s as if you’re convincing us, the audience, that it will all be OK as we watch it all unfold on-screen.

So I’ve started the (what feels slow) process of wrapping myself in the truths of what he says. How he screams of his faithfulness over every season. How he says that he’s given us a sun to govern us during the day and a moon to govern us during the night.

I like knowing that a synonym for govern is “reign over”. To consider the brightness of the sun and the pull of the moon, is to know that you’re with us every step of the way.

I’ll set myself these reminders. Though this audience feels incapable of producing hope for such a season, I know that this brightness and this pull are what will get us by.

“The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.”

    I randomly found your blog.
I think we would be good friends.
In a different way, I know what it’s like to see my little brother fight.
And I am praying and sending love across the Great Lake to you tonight.
