On Starting a New Thing

I’m going to be very transparent:
I have no idea what I’m doing!

I guess that’s the thing about starting New Things – they are little mysteries of their own that kind of unfold as you go. In this unfolding, can I just say that I am so grateful to have you along for the ride? I am not just blowing hot air when I say to you subscribing friends that you are the ones keeping this little heartbeat for advocacy — for the Church and the world — going. Even if it’s just one person tuning in, I feel seen. Maybe you have felt this, too, but when you believe something that feels too taboo or too big, it can feel like floating in the vastness of the sea alone. You are my buoys.

I can’t say how often I will write, but I do know there’s a surge of creativity that I hope to let strike when it’s right. I promise to label any explicit posts (when the ‘F’ word feels too strong not to include, maybe). Please don’t let my musings be just mine — I also hope to hear from you.

Until then, I share the last thing I saw on Instagram that gave my heart a little tickle. These sentiments are what I hope to invite into this space. I look forward to Starting a New Thing with you.
