i came to you in a season of grey
where the outside makes the inside cold
i allowed you to introduce me to a life
that i did not quite know

the sun had to learn to shine
the grey had to be released
and i had to find trust in myself

along the way,
i found my voice in the cracks
i found myself beyond the shadows
